Shimoda
We have a list a places to visit in Shimoda, the historical city. However because of the weather we have to cancel some of them. Shimoda is a place where Japan first opened its port to the outside world. So there are a lot of monuments and museums related to this event. Shirahama beach of Shimoda is famous for its beautiful white sand and can be packed during summer. Kami pusing2 dan posing2 di Shimoda station, Bayside Walk, Shirahama beach dan rehat2 sambil rendam2 kaki kat foot onsen di Madogahama Seaside Park.

Ernest House, Shimoda
Habis berjalan di air terjun, hari pun dah nak masuk senja. So kami manghala ke bed and breakfast di Shimoda, further south of the peninsula. Accomodation di Shimoda ni bole thn mahal juga. BnB ni je la yg paling murah utk kami sefamily yg kami dpt kat internet. It wasn’t a busy season, so that night we got to use the living room to ourselves. One of the specialties of this BnB is the breakfast is sent to your room, in a rattan basket and you can take the basket to the beach, which is only 1 minute walk from the BnB. But that morning was cloudy, so we decided to have a picnic at the barbeque area in front of the BnB.

Kawazu Nanadaru (Seven Waterfalls)
Kemudian kami menghala ke arah dalam semenanjung semula utk ke Kawazu Nanadaru (Seven waterfall). Ada 7 water fall semua sekali, tapi kami larat tgk 3 je… the rest kena hiking nak pergi tgk… Ni ada extract dari one website
“The Kawazu Nanadaru are seven waterfalls in the mountains above Kawazu Town in southeastern Izu.
The waterfalls, ranging from the 30 meter tall Odaru ("large waterfall") to the 2 meter tall Kanidaru ("crab waterfall"), can be viewed from a pleasant walking trail, which leads for about one kilometer through the forest.
Several statues along the walking trail depict the heroine of the short story "Izu no Odoriko" (The Izu Dancer, 1926), one of several works by Kawabata Yasunari (1899-1972), which are set in this area of the Izu Peninsula. Kawabata won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1968.
At the base of the trail you can find the small hot spring resort Nanadaru Onsen and the imposing Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge, a two storied spiral bridge along National Route 414 high above the valley floor."

Kawazu-zakura Matsuri, Kawazu
Next kami terus ke selatan, menuju ke Kawazu. Dlm perjalanan tu byk juga jumpa tempat2 menarik, tapi tak cukup masa. Kawazu sekarang ni tgh ada Sakura-matsuri (festival). Kawazu sakura ni memang terkenal sbb bloom awal dan tahan sampai sebulan. Hari Isnin pun orang ramai, tak kira hujan ke tak. Dapat la kami mengambik2 gambar. Sepanjang2 tepi sungai Kawazu sampai ke muara, penuh dgn sakura.

Jogasaki Suspension Bridge, Ito
Next, kami pergi ke Jogasaki suspension bridge. As described, Jogasaki beach is a sawtooth coastline, formed by lava flow from the volcanic Amagi Mountains. Dari atas suspension bridge tu gerun jugak tgk laut kat bawahnya, nasib baik bridge tu pendek je. 48 meters long and 23 meters above the sea level. Tapi view cantik sungguh….. Subhanallah! Air laut hijau kat tepi2 batu….aaaaa… cantiknya…

Lake Ippeki, Ito
Esoknya, bangun2 je tgk hujan..alamak! Memang dah check pun weather forecast, tapi apa nak buat, hotel dah book. But the rain definitely did not dampen our mood. First stop for today was Ippeki, Ito. It is a gourd-shaped crater lake, noted for its inverted image of the Amagi Mountains reflected on the water. Tapi apakan daya, hujan plus kabus, tak nampak reflection pun.
